In the ELA Grade 3 & 4 TAM sample directions, on Page 14, students are directed to click on Tab 2. There is no tab 2 in the G3 & 4 ELA Sample Questions:
Say: You will now read two related passages and answer the questions that follow. Some of these questions may ask you to compare the two passages.
Say: Now click tab 2. Read the instructions to yourself as I read them aloud. Read this passage, which goes with the previous passage. Then answer the questions that follow. Read the passage to yourself. (Pause while students read the passage.)
Next Steps
Test Administrators should skip reading the lines regarding two related passages in the sample question script. This includes reading the directions that ask G3 & G4 students to click on tab 2 to read the passage.
G3 Test Administrators should read the following:
Say: Now find the sample passage, “The American Buffalo.” Read the instructions to yourself as I read them aloud. Read the passage. Then answer the questions that follow.
Then continue with on with:
Say: Now look at Sample Question B. Read the sample to yourself as I read it aloud.
